“Fixed” – new documentary on transhumanism and disability

Filmmaker Regan Brashear recently screened a rough cut of “Fixed: The Science/Fiction of Human Enhancement”. The film focuses on the difficult relationship between transhumanists and disability advocates. The primary interviewees are all disabled (apparently by paraplegia): John Hockenberry, a journalist working at the MIT Media Lab, Gregor Wolbring, a biochemist and bioethicist at the University of Calgary, and Patty Bern, an activist. You can donate at Kickstarter. ~ The New Atlantis, Aug 22
